Michael Barrow -

Purpose

This guide is intended for those users where the BLACKPEAR user has been deactivated in Emis Web.
When the user has been deactivated in Emis Web this results in a failure in connection thus the integration is not possible when attempting to write back to Emis.

Activating a Deactivated BlackPear User

To start, within Emis Web click on the Emis Icon on the left hand side and goto Configuration -> Organisation Configuration

With the Find Users view now open, we can search for users but we are interested in Inactive users. To search for inactive users ensure to tick the "Include Inactive" tick box.
Once done, enter "BLACKPEAR" into the search field and click the magnifying glass to perform the search.

In this example we are looking for Mr BlackPear DEACTIVATETEST, but you will required to look for the BLACKPEAR CONNECT User.
Once you have found the BLACK PEAR Connect user simply double click on the user.

Now with the user open we can check the correct roles have been applied to the user.
The user should have the following Roles Listed (Also shown in the example below).

B0360: View detailed health records

B0380: Perform detailed health record

B0560: Perform patient administration

B0820: View patient demographics

If any of the Roles are missing from the list these can be added by clicking on the Magnifying glass and adding the roles.
Tip: If required you can copy and paste each of the roles above in turn to add them.

Now that the user has been activated again we can now check the permissions to the Black Pear Core Partner API.

Once the EMAS Manager view is open, click on Partner API on the Bottom Left hand side.
This should show all the Partner APIs with Emis. The Partner API we are looking is Black Pear Core.

With Black Pear Core Selected, ensure that the API is activated. If disabled the Activate Application will be greyed out as shown below:

Now you have confirmed all looks to be correct here, we can now check the BLACKPEAR_CONNECT user has permissions. To do this, Click on the Edit Users button on the top of the Emis page.

You should then be presented with the User Configuration view.
With this view we will need to look for the BLACKPEAR_CONNECT User (in this example we are using BLACKPEAR_DEACTIVATETEST).

When searching for the user you may find it easier to order by User by selecting the User column.

Once the user has been found, tick the tick box next to the user.
This should then display a password and a confirmation password.

Should you require the Password please email Support@Blackpear.com to request the password. Within the request please ensure to provide your ODS Code, Name and Contact Number.
