It is possible to launch an eSP record in a browser for the currently open patient. This is particularly useful for community carers with access to SystmOne.
To configure:
1) Within SystmOne, go to Setup > Users & Policy > URL & Program Maintenance
2) Click on the New URL button
3) Complete the Name, Icon, Description and Launch in fields as appropriate for your service. Note: If you use, Windows 10 please update the Launch in option to Chrome.
4) Click the Amend Field button to start building your URL
5) Within the Text field, enter the URL: https://pyrusapps.blackpear.com and then click OK
6) Click the Add Field button to add the next field
7) Choose the list of field types, choose Text
8) Enter the text /esp/#!/launch and then click OK
9) Click the Add Field button again to add the next field and again choose a Text field. Enter the text ?patient=https://fhir.nhs.uk/Id/nhs-number| and then click OK (please note: where it refers to 'Id' this uses an uppercase 'i' and not a lowercase 'L')
10) Click the Add Field button again and select Patient NHS Number
11) Choose to format the NHS number without spaces by clicking the Without Spaces button
12) Click the Add Field button again to add the next field and again choose a Text field. Enter the text &location=https://fhir.nhs.uk/Id/ods-organization-code| and then click OK (please note: where it refers to 'Id' this uses an uppercase 'i' and not a lowercase 'L')
13) Click the Add Field button again to add the next field and again choose a Text field. Enter your Organisation Code (held within SystmOne) and then click OK. (Please note, this organisation must be configured for PDS lookup within the Black Pear settings. Contact your project manager to arrange. Also, the code used below HSCIC4 is a demo system and not your live system. To acquire your system code, please check in your organisation settings)
NOTE: PASSING THE USERNAME IS OPTIONAL - IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO INCLUDE THIS FIELD CONTINUE TO STEP 14. IF YOU WISH TO OMIT THE USERNAME PARAMETER, PLEASE JUMP TO STEP 16.
14) Click the Add Field button again to add the next field and again choose a Text field. Enter the text &practitioner=https://fhir.blackpear.com/auth/user-identifier-system| and then click OK
15) Click the Add Field button again to add the next field and again choose a Text field. Enter the Black Pear username you wish to login with and then click OK
16) Click the Add Field button again to add the next field and again choose a Text field. Enter the text &serviceId= and then click OK (please note: where it refers to 'Id' this uses an uppercase 'i' and not a lowercase 'L')
17) Click the Add Field button again to add the next field and again choose a Text field. Enter your service GUID and then click OK. This GUID can either be obtained from your Black Pear Project Manager or by emailing support@blackpear.com
18) Click the Add Field button again to add the next field and again choose a Text field. Enter the text &birthdate= and then click OK
19) Click the Add Field button and choose the field type Patient Date of Birth
20) Select Date Format CCYY-MM-DD and then click OK
21) Click OK to save the URL. You may wish to click the Test button first to ensure that eSP is launched as far as possible
22) Click the Publish URL button for the icon of your choice to appear
23) Select the appropriate level of publishing and click the OK button
24) Click Yes to publish as required
