When logging into the PIP application for the first time, you may not already have a role to choose from. The steps below will outline how to first request a role and then also to request another if required.
If you are not already logged into PIP previously, follow these steps to begin:
- Browse to: https://www.core.blackpear.com/apps/pip/
- Select your identity provider. In this example, we use 'BP Auth' which requires your username and password.
- Login and click 'Allow'
When logged in, you will see the role section screen. Select the 'Request a new role' option and click on 'Proceed'
Next, please select your organisation. If you have more than one available, you can always repeat this process if required. If your organisation is not present, please contact support@blackpear.com
After selecting your organisation, you will see a list of services available to you. Select your desired service and then the role* you require. Click on 'Request Role' at the bottom of the page.

The Black Pear team will then receive and action your request. Once actioned, you will receive an email advising that your request was approved. You can now log back into PIP and use all areas available to you!
To request multiple roles, please repeat the process.
